Norris Lake Community Garden was created in 2018.

Funding is provided (or funded in part) by a grant from The
Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta and Food Well Alliance.

Our history

Back in 2001 our Norris Lake Peninsula was simply an island full of land, We saw so much potential to create something beautiful. In 2018 our founders Elena and John Klonoski started the work to create The Norris Lake Community Gardens. With the help of many volunteers we've kept growing over the years.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Norris Lake Community Garden Club is to serve our community by:

Stewarding a green space to provide a natural escape for the community
Providing a place for our members to grow and harvest organic produce and flowers
Educating people of all ages about the benefits of sustainable and eco-friendly gardening
Hosting events for the community and garden members
And cultivating a community of individuals committed to sustainable land use.

NORRIS LAKE'S FIRST EVER FARMERS MARKET!

Fresh on DEK will be here at Norris Lake every Tuesday July 17 to September 8 at the Clubhouse! Volunteers are needed! Come by during these dates and grab fresh fruits and veggies!
